20 & 21 February 2015, Platform Islington

In a few minutes the exam will begin.
From now on you must follow the standard examination rules.
You must be sitting at the right desk.  If you have not, please move now.
You must not communicate with any other candidates from this point onwards.
No speaking.  No hand gestures.
Don’t even look at each other.
Failure to do any of these things will lead to immediate disqualification from the entire play. I mean exam.
A group of teenagers, fresh from the stress of their GCSE exams, step out of the narrow confines of our education system and into their first summer of freedom.

Twenty young people aged 13-16 years invite you to join them in a race to achieve. Set in an exam hall, Atoms asks what we’re prepared to sacrifice in order to connect in a system that rewards competition.
