First Stage Production: 23-24 July 2021, New Diorama Theatre

Everyone remembers their eighteenth birthday... unless it takes place during a pandemic.

EIGHTEEN is a first stage production of a new play, developed during lockdown.

Eight brand-new eighteen-year-olds invite you to the birthdays that got taken away by lockdown. The parties that didn't happen, the rites of passage that were never completed, the memories that were never made. A chance to celebrate, reminisce and mark the beginning of a new era in their lives.

EIGHTEEN is part of the New Diorama Theatre’s Reset Season. The play is made by young people whose final year as company members took place during the pandemic, created with Philip Morris and Angie Peña Arenas.

Created and performed by Nusayba Abaas, Inaayat Chowdhury, Jaekwan Hunte-Jarrett, Alannah Makoni, Aaliyah Murrian, Abigail Philips-Douglas, Bailey Smith and Kadiesat Turay

Created by Philip J Morris, Angie Peña-Arenas and the company.
