Effa's work experience with Company Three

Last week, we were lucky enough to have one of our members - Effa - join us for three days of work experience. Here she is explaining a little more about it:
Over the past few days, I have done a variety of different tasks. For example, I sorted out the drama space and compiled a list of new items needed. I did things like sort through potential organisations to run workshops on sustainability and researched other youth theatres. I especially enjoyed using Canva as it is something I initially wasn’t familiar with.
I also took part in a workshop/study in collaboration with the University of Warwick about the importance of youth theatres for young people in a community - which was important in demonstrating the importance of spaces like Company Three in society.
I found it very useful to learn about what a workplace is like; in some ways it was similar to what I was expecting in some ways different. For example, the workplace layout was similar to what I assumed, however, the environment was different.
The environment was much more friendly and less uptight than I expected, as schools usually teach students that work environments are very strict.
Overall, I enjoyed working at Company Three, I did multiple different activities that were very useful. I enjoyed the workshop on Monday and doing jobs that felt useful.
