#BlackIs... for artists

In September, our Associate Artistic Director Nuna Sandy and a group of Black young people made #BlackIs… a celebration of what it means to be a Black teenager today. #BlackIs… emerged from a regular space set up by Nuna for Black young people to come together and have unfiltered conversations, tell stories, rant, cry and laugh.

As we continue to develop #BlackIs…, Nuna wants to bring Black theatre artists working with young people together to talk, play and exchange, with a focus on exploring what making work ‘by us, for us’ really means.

We will be organising the first of these spaces on Tuesday 21 February, with others to follow later in the year. If you are a Black/mixed with Black heritage artist working with young people (at any stage of your career) and you’d be interested in getting involved in February or in the future, please get in touch by sending us a message below. We’d love to hear from you.

If you would prefer to get in touch in another way, you can send a text message, voice note or video to Nuna on 07528 761 311.
